​Parks and Recreation 

Aquatics ProgramsPhoenix provides residents and visitors more than 41,000 acres of desert parks and mountain preserve land with 200-plus miles of trails; 185 parks; 32 community and recreation centers; eight golf courses; 29 pools where thousands cool off and learn to swim each summer; and classes, programs and sports leagues where kids and adults learn, stay active and have fun.


Explore Programs & Activities


Participate in FREE daily activities - including sports, games, and arts and crafts - in select city parks this fall and winter. 

Registration is open for 2019-20 winter/spring programs, sports leagues, FREE codePHX classes and other activities.   
 

Upcoming Special Events and Programs:

In partnership with the Junior Golf Association of Arizona, the Itty Bitty Open will be held Jan. 11 in 10 parks citywide.

FitPHX Fall Into Fitness returns to Hance Park Jan. 14.

The 24th annual National Trail Trek is Jan. 25.

Millions of people enjoy Phoenix hiking trails every year. Park Rangers want trail users to know "Take a Hike. Do it Right." safety guidelines.
