金游棋牌游戏Phoenix City Council on March 22, 2017 approved the EQC's name change to better reflect its work. The focus of the Environmental Quality and Sustainability Commission (EQSC) has expanded to embrace the social, ecologic and economic objectives of sustainability to improve quality of life for current and future generations.
The EQSC identifies and advises the Phoenix City Council on environmental quality and sustainability issues affecting the city and recommends to the City Council policies, positions, roles, and action the city might take to address those issues in a manner that protects, promotes, restores, or enchances the city's natural and built environments.
EQSC also announced the release of the city's most recent sustainability report. The 2015-16 sustainability report highlights the accomplishments achieved thus far by the city and the 2050 Environmental Sustainability goals, which reflect the community's desired outcomes for a socially, economically and environmentally resilient city.
EQSC Welcomes New Chair & Vice Chair!
Colin Tetreault, Principal, S2 Consulting and Senior Sustainability Scholar, Julie Ann Wrigley Global Institute of Sustainability is now serving as Chair of the EQSC. Elyse Giudas, Executive Director, Farm Express by Discovery Triangle and public health policy expert serves as Vice Chair.

Working in partnership with the community,businesses, NGO’s, and all levels of government, we are committed toadvocating for and advancing solutions that make a demonstrable impact for all.

Byaddressing pressing issues like global climate change, urban heat island, wateravailability, clean energy independence, complete transportation, and circularand inclusive economies we can create a socially just, environmentallybeautiful, and economically prosperous future.
